Who We Are

Women’s Road Development Team

In our first year in 2015 we established ourselves as the best women’s team in NZ by taking out the team and U19 series win in the Calder Stewart Women’s Elite Series.  We exposed our riders to higher levels of teams racing in Australia.  We developed a strong team based culture with our riders supporting each other and striving to improve.  Our riders worked hard to promote the team and our sponsors with very good coverage in print and online media and a great following.

In our second year in 2016 we improved yet again once again securing he team and U19 series win in the Calder Stewart Womens Elite Series and gaining not only individual but also team placings in the National Capital Tour NRS round in Australia - a far cry from just surviving the year before!

Not only did we taste individual and team success in racing we also had riders gain contracts in overseas teams for 2017 - yes the dream was coming true!

We hope to further carry on this momentum into 2017 and look to further change the style of women’s racing in NZ to be even more competitive.  For 2017 we are both a NZ registered trade team racing domestically but have also secured a position in the NRS in Australia - so we will have even more opportunities for our riders to learn and shine.

The course was 113km, with a few hills nothing major though, the key part being the cross winds which, split the bunch up within the first 20km with teams such as Canyon Sram and Orica putting the pace on and everyone in the gutter!
